Don't buy MLB.TV!! I have been flim-flammed! I'm an astros fan living 200 miles away from Houston, I dont have cable so I purchase mlb.tv premium for $120 thinking I'm going to love using all of these cool features that are being advertised, but come to find out that EVERY SINGLE game that is not nationally televised will be f**king
blacked out! The only warning that is given is saying that blackout restriction apply, but MLB does not tell you how or when these restrictions apply, and they will not give refunds.
If you at anytime have purchased mlb.tv and been grossly misinformed about what you are actually getting, then folow me @
http://www.twitter.com/mlbtvsucks. Tell everyone you know to follow me. I am making it my personal mission to give MLB as much bad publicity as I can via social networking and the internet in general as possible.

I didn't run into that problem during Spring Training.
edit- wasn't the Astros game on espn? maybe that's why it was blacked out on mlb.tv

Nationally televised games blacked out?
Isn't that the norm?

Would this count for... lets say FSN televised games? Because pretty much every Royals game is televised and yeah. I am considering buying this service to watch games I miss.

I too occasionally run into trouble using MLBTV. Most of the time it works great though.
I am a die hard fantasy baseball players though, so I like to watch players and make my own opinon on them.

And as far as blackouts go? I live within 30 miles of KC. Will they blackout Royals games?

yea, to the OP you arent the only one, plenty of people have had this problem because bud selig and whoever controls the blackout issues is a f*cking moron. no other sport has this problem. living in oklahoma i cant get astros, rangers royals or cardinal games, only ones that come on here are rangers and everyonce in awhile cardinal games
u shouldve found this out before you bought it
of course, i believe they black out all games that arent on fox on saturday and if it's a night game that's not on espn on sunday they'll black it out

I am surprised the blackout areas are so large.
Doesn't make sense, really.

Don't pay the extra $25 dollars
I got the $99 last year and the more expecsive one this year...not worth the extra dollars.

As far as I know you can run a proxy to get by the blackout restrictions (well, not the (Please Use More Appropriate Word) FOX one, but the other ones). I'm not sure how that affects connection speed, though.
It's a shame. The service itself is quite good.
