150 pitches, 8 walks, odd no hitter, but still no hitter is a no hitter. congratulations Jackson.

There's something about Florida...

Does anyone else seem a bit underwhelmed when pitchers walk a bunch of hitters during a no-no?

Into the 3rd inning with no outs, Jackson had issued his 7th walk to load the bases.

I told my friend at the time that the Rays better get something now because Jackson almost always picks up steam if he survives the first 2 or 3 innings.

He was impressive...looking like Bob Gibson the last 6 innings.

Remember when Edwin Jackson was backing up the catcher on a play from the outfield and lost the ball in the lights and got hit right in the mush? He's come a long way.
From the "Story behind certain jersey numbers" thread...
