If they get in the playoffs, how far do you think they can go?

They can get to the World Series.
Do the Giants even have a pitcher with an ERA over 4.00 on the team? Lincecum/Cain at the top of the rotation is one of the best, and then they can still throw out Sanchez who has been awesome this year, and even Zito.
Plus, as long as Aubrey Huff keeps on hitting and Buster Posey produces like he has since getting playing time, that offense is potent enough. Still, its the streakiest part of their team. Guys like Renteria and Torres need to be productive and get on base.
We'll see.

They have the staff to beat anyone in the league, but of any of the teams slated to make the playoffs right now they'll struggle the most to produce runs. If they can snag someone off the waiver wire (Jose Guillen, Dunn) to insert into that lineup now, they might be able to construct a good middle order and give their pitchers the insurance they need.

The offense is hot and cold. It's not last years offense. They can put up some big numbers when they want to. Other nights they can't get a guy in after a lead off double. It really depends which offense shows up, and whether or not they can minimize Bochy's boneheadedness. Lincecum needs to stop sucking too.

And right now we're cold. Can't seem to beat other playoff teams.
