Just curious why isn't Ken Griffey Jr even mentioned? The guy should deserve a shot over Ricky Henderson at least. He at one point was the most feared hitter in and was one of the best fielders as well. Look at the carrer numbers .280 average, 630 home runs (would be at 660-670 if wasn't injured) plus he has 2,781 hits. Man I could on and on, he was a beast and I think one of the best player (if not the best OF) in the 90's.

I am not saying he's better then a Ted WIlliams, Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth or anybody like that but he was my Babe Ruth (considering I was born in the 1980's) a once in a lifetime talent who changed the game. He will be remembered as the greatest Seattle Mariner of all time IMHO. Just look at his honors.

Berry Bonds, Roger Clemons and every other "Roid Head" should be removed from that list. They left a black eye on tha game.

He wasn't even the best hitter on his team (Edgar Martinez) and he was the most feared hitter in the game? Ok, lets just exclude Bagwell, Bonds, Thomas, Belle too because they didn't get the media hype. And if we are being honest with ourselves Rickey is a better offensive player, they are close in hitting, but Rickey's baserunning puts him ahead on offense.

His all around package made him a great player, but let's not overrate him because we were kids and he was cool.

Because all anyone thinks about is what Jr. COULD'VE been instead of what he was. They all focus on the injuries and the down seasons and the end of his career. He had the potential to be maybe one of the best outfielders of all time and he is one of my personal favorite ballplayers ever. He had a great career, even with the injuries. It's even more amazing what he did in the time that he had.

I find it funny that someone finally came out and said this. Junior was a once in a lifetime player but I don't know he deserves to be there with the all-time greats. I am 95% sure he never took PEDs, but his track record of injuries and lack of production once the awareness of PEDs came to the forefront with Bonds etc can't be ignored.

First off, if you're going to belittle the guys, at least spell their names right. Second, they played in the 'steroid era' and were the elite players of the steroid era. I don't care about the drug use AT ALL. I'm a firm believer in asterisks being placed next to every name on any list. Put one next to Babe's for not playing against any blacks. Put one next to Hank Aaron's for playing in the greenie era. Do all of it.

Really? So if a few guys secretly used a dangerous drug that artificially made them into superman so they could smash every known power record, dominate the game, make zillions of dollars and win titles, and then lied to the public and the police about their drug use, that would be OK with you?

com on now, do you really believe that just a few players used steroids? The point that Da Schwab was trying to make was since the majority of the league was on steroids then why point out only a few players, just because they were better.

Yep, that is why during Griffey's prime 1993-97 he comes in 5th in wRAA and 7th in wRC+. Clearly the most feared hitter in the game.

Barry Bonds is so much better then the rest. I don't care what he used, he was the best human to ever step on the field. It's not like he had a computer chip in him....
