Jose Bautista is the best player in baseball

It's just not fair anymore.
Great power, hitting for good average, solid defense (great arm in the OF), decent speed, and leads the league is so many offensive categories its insane.

Yeah it's either Jose or Albert Pojuls as the two best. Though if Toronto could get Albert for Jose they would be stupid not to take that deal imho.
Jose has been a machine ever since he came to Toronto, I just think it Dwayne Murphy who made Jose a lot better then he is now. I mean they guy has worked with Jose to perfect his swing and timing.

Yeah, Bautista and Murphy/Cito's pull-happy style really was a match made in heaven. Before they arrived on the scene, Bautista was an all-fields hitter, a guy with a fair bit of power (his iso in Pittsburgh didn't drop below 160 in his three years) who was trying too hard to get the ball into play and ended up lunging off-balance far too much at stuff out and away. Now he basically stands on top of the plate to take away the outside corner, but has such ridiculously fast hands that he can get pitches in on his body...he almost looks like a cricket batsman the way he pulls his hands in and rotates on what should be jamshots.

I dont think anyone thought he would be able to repeat what he did last year, but he's actually on pace to do even better this season
