can the Brewers win it all ?
im still skeptical
but the pieces seem to b there

SP: Grinke, Marcum, Wolf, Gallardo, Narveson
RP: Axford, Krod, Saito, Hawkins, Loe

C: Lucroy, Kottaras
1B: Prince
2B: Weeks (injured 6wks), Lopez, Counsell
SS: Betancourt, Counsell, Wilson
3B: McGehee, Counsell, Wilson
LF: Braun
CF: Morgan, Gomez (injured 4wks), Kotsay
RF: Hart, Kotsay

the Main thing they have to do is when their division
over the Cards, Reds and Pirates
if they dont do that, i dont think they'll have a good enough record to get a Wild Card

will their offense b enough to carry them through the playoffs ?
will their D b the reason they cant ?
will their SP, b solid the rest of the season, and through the playoffs ?

their biggest fault is Defense/Fielding
so their Offense has to win games

Yes, best team I've ever seen that has an even run differential

Where is the pitching? So the answer is NO

SP: Grinke, Marcum, Wolf, Gallardo, Narveson

RP: Axford, Krod, Saito, Hawkins, Loe

this is a very nice group of pitchers

especially if the starters can go 7 innings
then Krod handles the 8th
and Axford the 9th

Their pitching is not on par with SF, Atlanta, and Philly. If you want to win in the playoffs, you better have dominant pitching. Their lineup can be shut down by teams with great pitching like SF, Atlanta, and Philly. Sure, I won't be surprised if the Brewers win the NL Central and make the playoffs but they are very likely to be one and done. Just my honest opinion.

3-5 vs Braves
3-3 vs Giants
2-1 vs Phillies

They're hardly overmatched against those teams.

How is their pitching weak? It has been one of their strengths.

After what they did to the cards today, would say any thing can happen.

That is only because they cheat at home.

Those sausage races are fixed.

1st place Brewers

up on the Cards 4 games now
if they continue their timely hitting
and their good pitching
they should win their division
and probably play the Braves
@ home

looking good right now
with 44 games to go

The Brewers are playing .750 at home. The last two teams to do that? The 1998 Padres and 1998 Yankees who both met in the World Series. You do the math.
If they are going to make playoff noise, they need to do it this year. Doubt they will be able to afford Hart and Fielder after this season.

Some top notch logic here.

wat?

we signed hart to a 4 year extension before last season ended. fielder and k-rod are our only notable free agents. we have weeks, braun, gallardo, and hart all locked up long term.

you've really given some great insight in this thread.

"best team ever"

"they cheat at home"

"top notch logic"

Yes. Two elite sluggers plus Weeks who is a 5 WAR guy when healthy. I like their chances vs ATL because they play well at home (ecspecially Greinke). Good bullpen too.
