Josh Johnson (their best pitcher by far) and Jose Reyes (their most dynamic player) are both going to have to remain healthy for the Marlins to have a shot at making some serious noise. Adding Fielder obviously will make them a lot more potent, not just with his bat but with the fire and intensity that he plays the game with.
The rotation is a bit iffy. Buerhle was a must signing as he gives the Marlins that one reliable innings eater and a guy that is just a professional pitcher who goes about everything the oldschool way. A veteran leader in a rotation that has some questionnable characters in it. Carlos Zambrano could be the x-factor. It'll be interesting to see if Omar can connect with and get through to Zambrano. If he can then the talent is still there. If not, then you got a giant distraction waiting to happen.
The lineup has some pop and with Reyes (assuming he can remain healthy enough) they should be able to create some havoc. It'll be interesting to see how Ramirez deals with the move. Some believe he'll be fine, others believe that it's going to boil over and things are going to get ugly (especially if the Marlins don't start winning out of the gate). So basically another potential giant distraction.
A lot of talent but also a lot of question marks. I think Vizquel's Type A personality should help absorb some of the distraction and help keep the nonsense down to a minimum (at least until everyone starts getting tired of his act) so that's a plus. If nothing else, they will be an extremely exciting team, that's for sure.
