Do you expect him to produce for Oakland?

he should go back to using steroids for as long as he can before they catch him. at his age, he really has nothing to do.

I really doubt there's much left in the tank. Until I opened this thread I completely forgot who signed with.

Why do you guys say that? Is it because of the 5 games (17 at bats) he played with Tampa where he didn't produce? Manny has been productive basically every year except that incredibly small sample. Even in his failed White Sox stint, he had a .420 OBP in just 24 games. His OPS in 2010/2009/2008 has been very good.

I think it's unfair to say he has nothing left in the tank, when he's really proven the opposite. Of course if you're making that judgement because he hasn't played in a while, I guess that could be fair.

I'd say the odds favor the "not much left in the tank" theory vs "still productive"

Granted, his stint in Tampa was short.....but it's been a while since Ramirez has been productive.....and a long layoff combined with his age just screams ......don't expect much from him.

But hey, maybe he'll prove us wrong.......
