What a disaster for this team. This season was supposed to be a great fresh start and instead it's the fourth worst in franchise history. Guillen should just get out of there already. The team is already looking towards the future for success, but it was all supposed to happen this year. Plus their new stadium has been a waste of money with all of the empty seats. Thoughts?

Miami is not a good sports market for any sport unless a team is at or near the top of the standings.
Long term, I think the location of where the stadium is..... may be a deterrent to casual fans attending. And that monstrosity in CF makes the stadium appear like something on the boardwalk in Ocean City. It just doesn't fit baseball....just my opinion
OG was a train wreck in the beginning, and probably crossed a threshold of no return by comments made later in the year.

Personally I saw it coming. They added way too many hotheads and it was obvious they would eventually implode. Reyes, Ramirez, Bell with Ozzie? Yeah, that's a recipe for disaster.
And Miami is an awful sports town. They better get used to being 4th place(at best)for a while because they aren't even close to the Phillies or Braves let alone the Nats who are gonna be running the NL East for the forseeable future.

They should have left florida when they had the chance... now they're stuck there because of the new stadium. But, I dont feel sorry for them one bit... Jeffrey Loria is a scumbag.

Lol Stanton and Nolasco are pissed
Wtf are they doing taking out all of the veterans on the team? They need to rebuild, sure, but not this way.

Gonna be pretty odd playing in a completely empty stadium. Miami leadership looking like fools for approving the stadium deal that so many in their city were against. Right now I think a lot people would be happy if they just ended the drama and moved elsewhere, regardless of the stadium.

Very sad.....this is the third time Miami fans have been screwed.
However, this team sucked last year.
Eddie Murray, then with the Orioles, had just finished another .300 season... adding 30 hr's and 100 rbi's, and was dealt after an 100+ game losing season.
Fans were incensed after the trade, but management said "we lost 108 games with him, how much worse could we be?"
Not defending the Marlins' fire sale, but what they had looked good on paper......

I'll call you on that one, the division wasn't won by the Nats until the final weekend of the regular season, and I honestly can't see this division being a 1 horse race for the foreseeable future, especially with the amazing minor league pitchers of the Braves developing into Solid players
