Going to Breslow was the right move by Farrell. He's done a great job all season and in the playoffs. My issue is Salty, catch the damn ball. Come off the plate and make sure you catch the ball from left field. If the runner scores oh well. Atleast then the Sox are in a tied game with guys on first and second and two outs.

As for Lackey talk about an unfair L, but oh well that's the postseason. Sox maybe in a bit of trouble with the way Peavy looked last game and a huge ? mark of Buchholz with his arm fatigue.

Off the World Series for a sec: Nats will hire Matt Williams as Manager. Don't know much about him but he's supposed to be a really fiery guy, which is what we need after the carefree Davey Johnson.

Back to the World Series: this thing is going 7. Go Sawx.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

hmm...wonder how matt williams will pan out.
i was figuring every new hire would be some ex catcher and that the trend would take over for the next decade.

Brad Ausmus' name keeps flying around, just like last offseason. Apparently the Tigers are looking at him.

I just saw that the Cubs are interviewing Eric Wedge. I really wish they could have just thrown a bunch of cash at Girardi, but alas. I wonder if Theo Epstein has any cards up his sleeve for that hire. I could totally see them bringing back Dusty Baker.

I'll take Ausmus...Donnie please go.

2012 Draft btw.
18. Dodgers - Corey Seager
19. Cardinals - Michael Wacha

I'm gonna put faith in our organization on that one. I remember clearly in 08 and 09 going "Kershaw better be better than Lincecum if we're gonna take him two slots higher"

Honestly I think Dusty Baker would be a great fit in Dodger Blue, as much as I would hate to see it

i don't have the stats on how Ortiz is doing against LH relief pitchers in the postseason.

but it seems like every time one comes in to face him, he gets a big hit.

Cards really have given this one away by not getting runners home with no outs

The throw didn't look all that bad on the replay.
