Sources tell @OTLonESPN Bosch will swear an affidavit that he provided drugs to players. MLB may seek 100-game suspensions for Braun, A-Rod.

Major League Baseball will seek to suspend about 20 players connected to the Miami-area clinic at the heart of an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun, possibly within the next few weeks, "Outside the Lines" has learned. If the suspensions are upheld, the performance-enhancing drug scandal would be the largest in American sports history.

"Also sure to be on MLB's list of questions is whether the Yankees' Robinson Cano, who could sign a lucrative free agent contract after this season, had any connection to Bosch or the clinic. The spokeswoman for Cano's foundation, Sonia Cruz, was listed in Biogenesis documents, as ESPN reported, and MLB officials have investigated whether she might have been a conduit for Cano.
The players who might ultimately face discipline from MLB include: Rodriguez, Braun, Cabrera, Colon, Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero, Jhonny Peralta, CesarPuello, Fernando Martinez, Everth Cabrera, Fautini de los Santos, Jordan Norberto, and a number of players who are either identified by code names or whose names appear in other documents not obtained by "Outside the Lines." All are currently on major-league rosters but for Puello, a top outfield prospect for the New York Mets who is playing in Class AA Binghamton."

Why would Melky get disiciplined again? He already served his suspension.

Pretty sure this is a separate offense.

Rodriguez should get a lifetime ban. Worst cheater ever.
Wasn't he the guy that was intentionally using not allowed bats as well? Thought I had read something like that in German press a few years back. Or was that someone else?

Foye, I believe that was Sammy Sosa using the corked bats, unless I am mistaken.
Nevertheless, a second offense of this nature is pretty damning.

Please not Braun. For the sake of my fantasy team.

Pretty sure this is a separate offense.
So how can the MLB prove it? Cant Melky just say "I already got suspended for this incident" and call it a day?

Yeah, that was Sosa. A-Rod is nowhere near the worst cheater ever, he's just one of the worst people ever.

Braun was guilty in the first test. He got off on a tech...it was almost like he was implying the handler purposely put PEDS in his sample. He's Rafael Palmeiro 2.0
Just win baby!

Gio Gonzalez is on the list too, but apparently he's not as likely to get suspended since the drugs he got were legal.
We shall see though. I don't think MLB will be able to suspend anyone without positive drug tests.

Well, this got interesting...
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/i-tea ... -1.1364586The owner of the South Florida anti-aging clinic at the center of baseball’s latest doping scandal asked embattled Yankee star Alex Rodriguez for financial help after Major League Baseball filed a lawsuit that alleged he had sold performance-enhancing drugs to Major League Baseball players.
When Rodriguez rebuffed Anthony Bosch’s request for money, believed to be in the hundreds of thousands, the self-styled “biochemist” turned to a strange bedfellow — MLB.
“A-Rod refused to pay him what he wanted,” said a source. “Baseball was worried about that.”
MLB reached an agreement this week for Bosch’s cooperation in its long-running investigation into one of the biggest drug scandals in baseball history and plans to meet with him on Friday.
The Daily News reported Wednesday that baseball was concerned Bosch might turn to players for financial help if MLB didn’t lock him into an agreement to testify.
“They were afraid someone else would pay him,” said the source. “Bosch is the only guy that can provide them with what they need.”
So basically, this just restates everything we already knew about this Bosch fellow... He is a Grade-A scumbag.

Braun's best season was last year, where he was likely tested very often. If Braun took something it was probably some kind of healing agent in the '11 playoffs. Doesn't excuse his actions, but I find it very unlikely that he's been juicing his entire career and for whatever reason his masking agent failed to work during one test.
Also, the MLB is turning the PED testing process into a joke. Unless they have concrete evidence against these guys, it seems like this is just an attempt at publicly shaming the players on the list since they won't be able to actually suspend them within the confines of the process (again, that's if there is no concrete evidence).

This whole thing reeks.
Not only from the players that likely cheated, but now because this guy's character is putrid.

story keeps getting worse and worse for a-rod.
baseball needs to stop taking forever and either hand out these suspensions or either step back and say they wont be suspending anyone
