:o :o

During the 2012 playoffs, Tacopina said, the Yankees hid from Rodriguez that a magnetic resonance imaging test had revealed that he had a torn labrum — essentially a hole in his hip — and continued to play him, even though he was struggling mightily.

“They rolled him out there like an invalid and made him look like he was finished as a ballplayer,” Tacopina said.

this gonna be good, anyone got that jackson popcorn gif?

It's like who do we believe anymore? It's sickening that the Yankees are trying to get out of the ugly contract they handed out. They weren't forced. Deal with it.

When the rumors were circulating that MLB was considering a lifetime ban, I was hoping for a lessor penalty..... mainly because the Yankees need to be held accountable for that stupid contract.

The A-Rod/Fraud/Roid/Rat battle going on now may become epic, given who the lawyer is.

This is going to be an all-time mud-slinging fest, which will give all of the talking heads plenty of material.

As a Yankee fan, I want to believe this is a smear campaign by A-Rod's camp. I really don't know what's true, but I'm giving my team, not that assh*le, the benefit of the doubt.

how is cash and levine not aholes? they conduct these matters in the media and also use foul language (cash), as mgmt leaders in a multi billion dollar company, that is very unprofessional behavior.....its a well known fact yanks have gotten cheap, so its obvious they want to get out of that contract

people want arod gone, i wish for yanks to get whole new FO and owner

I don't disagree that the FO hasn't handled the situation very well, especially Cashman, I just fail to believe everything that's coming out of A-Rod's camp. The new allegations just seem more like conspiracies to me, but I wouldn't be very surprised if they turned out to be true.

As for a new GM and whatnot, I'm all for it. After this whole situation getting as ugly as it has, it's time to wipe the slate clean and move into a new era.

The ownership has been remarkably quiet, especially for Steinbrenner's, but I'm not too sure what that says about the state of the franchise.

this is exactly what they want....a player to be on the front soaking up the media attention, this way no one questions

1) why team got so cheap
2) why their farm system sucks
3) why they cant develop players (joba phil)
4) why the killer Bs became killer busts
5) why they didnt get the international talent (yu, ryu, cespedes, chapman, etc)
6) why they are forced to continually sign over the hill veterans for important spots (see #2 as reason)
7) why martin and ibanez were not resigned...how AJ burnet got traded and became a stud again....etc etc

this ownership cares only about the bottom line, and as they save more money they want to keep the fans distracted, enter ARod

Fair enough. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see the Steinbrenner's be that conniving.

I guess I'm just slightly less annoyed by the whole thing because of how I've been expecting this fall from grace for a while now, though not nearly as catastrophic as this has been.

At this point nothing either side does will surprise me.

Should be good to watch though.
