The Angels are gonna have to be carried by their offense this postseason. I'm just happy I get to see Trout in a playoff atmosphere.

With all due respect to Jeter, that's an insult to Trout. His first 3 seasons are better than Jeter's best.

oh and congrats to Paul Konerko on a great career. He deserves some kind of recognition.

The Dodgers have always been able to spot talent but keeping it was another issue.

Keys to winning the Whirl Serious for the Dodgers:

using the young guys to get to Kenley in the 9th inning. If Donnie thinks sticking with all of those sorry closers he has signed this postseason will work, i wish i could know in advance so I won't have to watch.

i don't see anybody beating nationals in nl. al is murky, tigers probably best bet.

Can't think of a better way to go into the playoffs than off a no hitter. Funny thing is, I actually missed all but the very last out. I was playing Soccer and when I got home I checked the box score and saw that there was a 0 in the hit column for Miami and immediately turned the TV on. Man if I ended up jinxing the no hitter I think I would have shot myself.

Anyways...my WS prediction before the season started was Nats-Angels with the Nats taking it so I'll stick with that. Not sure who I'd rather face in the NLDS. We own the Giants in the regular season but they're always a threat in the postseason. The Pirates on the other hand I don't think are as good but they always play us tough.

EDIT: My prediction was actually Nats-Rays. I swear I thought I had picked the Angels.

not sure why anyone would picks the cards to get to the show, i think they might get swept by LA

We'll see if Jon Lester was worth giving Cespedes away come Tuesday. So far, it was a awful trade. A everyday player that hits in the middle of the lineup and packs a cannon in left field for a guy that plays once every 5 days.

The wild card games are gonna be fun good luck to all 4.

Pirates start Cole in the last game of the season. It forces them to start Volquez on Wednesday.

I'll answer the Pirates question first, I think their hot streak carries over for the WC game. If Volquez can stay composed and locate his fastball, I think he can run through the Giants lineup. Then again, the Giants find another gear for the postseason. Should be a great game.

As for the predictions, I just think the Dodgers' pitching will carry them through til the end. Barring a major injury to someone on the rotation. If Ryu can hold strong as the #3 and bridge the gap to Kershaw, I don't see the Dodgers getting beat in a seven game series by anyone else.

The problem is, Ryu is hurt and hasn't pitched in two weeks. Last time he came back premature from his injury, he got blown up by the Giants and went back on the injury list.

I miss baseball.

u mean he went 7 IP and gave up 1 run at SD (this was the surprising game where he picked up after his injury like he never left), then 6 and 2/3 vs. Arizona at home and gave up 2 runs....then he re-aggravated his shoulder during that start in SF somehow.

The Cardinals give Kershaw fits and he has the Game 6 of last year over his head (which reminds me that the superstars of my favorite franchises let me down in the playoffs last season). But I can live with the idea of Kershaw having a quality Game 2 start in last year's NLCS giving up 1 UNEARNED run on 72 pitches in 6 innings.
He loses 1-0 and the haters get to use that in the loss column to say he's not that great.

But i think him and Greinke are going to have to channel a little Randy and Curt 2001 (man they were great) for us to do this and I think they're capable.

ryu is crap right now. i think grienke has a loss in him as well, cardinals should win in 6.

If the Dodgers beat the Cards, they're going to the WS imo. The Cards are the luckiest franchise in the MLB.

In the AL, I think the Orioles or the Tigers are going to the WS. Hopefully not the Orioles, because **** them.

this has been the worst day ever given that we know all the match ups.

im glued to the TV for As-Royals.

Baseball is all about momentum. Pirates will carry their winning ways and beat Giants in the Wildcard.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.
