As an unbiased observer, Kershaw is the best.

Can we not instead?

I can't even believe this is actually a poll, let alone the results. 19 of you are going to feel quite silly come this fall when one of these guys is gearing up for the postseason and the other is fighting to keep his ERA under 4.

Only 15 people voted for Kershaw though

Whoopsie. Try again next year, kiddo.

18 smart people Vs. 23 dumb ones. That ratio seems about right to me. Can't wait to see which decrepit ump Maddie decides to stare down in the postseason....

There is no statistical argument to be made against Kershaw. He is the best pitcher in baseball right now and one of the greatest pitchers of all time. Some of the numbers he has put up so far are unbelievable (his 2014 was one of the greatest pitching seasons ever).

Ty Cobb and Ted Williams did as well.

Kershaw will never be as good as MadBum in the postseason.

Do you want Randy Johnson or Curt Schilling?
You take Randy Johnson.
The Skip Bayless level idiot answers the question with, "one game for my life…Schilling."

Mad Bum is no different than many other pitchers who are good the regular season and have untouchable playoff runs.
See Schilling. See Beckett. See Jack Morris.
Helps Giant fans. Doesn't take Mad Bum out of the Hall of Very Good territory just yet.

randy johnson postseason: 7-9 era 3.50, world series mvp
kershaw postseason: 1-6, era 4.99, yet to sniff world series

something amiss in that comp

Every elite pitcher that we've seen in our lifetime has had postseason struggles.
Maddux
Randy
Pedro
Verlander

But since the world revolves around you, it's hard for you to get past the fact that Kershaw is no different and better than Madison Hall of Very Good Bumgarner

not an issue with me.

maddux 3.29 postseason era, 2.09 at world series, world champion
pedro 3.46 postseason era, world champion
verlander 3.39 postseason era, would've been a world champion if it wasn't for giants dynasty

kershaw needs couple of bumgarner runs just to get on their level, until then he is a flat track bully that gets to sit on the same table with david price

Just ran the numbers. One Bumgarner run and he'd clear all 3 of those guys by a decent margin.

Strong math
