That deal is terrible and the Nats will still choke.

I've always found Strasburg to be overrated. Nats would be smart to trade him and not make the mistake of giving him the huge contract he'll be asking for. That being said, I hope they don't trade and do give him the contract he'll be asking for.

Crazy trade. We didn't really need starting pitching but if we're gonna be trading Zimmermann anyway, Scherzer is a hell of a replacement. Now we can get 2-3 prospects for Zimm and not really miss a beat in our rotation. On the other hand that is a lot of money for a 30 year old SP and I've always been against paying pitchers that kind of money because of how easily they can break down.

Gotta win that World Series now. No excuses. Can't blame Rizzo, he's doing everything in his power to build a team good enough to win it all. Now we just gotta get it done in October.

Thanks Scherzer.

Zack will definitely opt out at the end of this season now.

Rizzo on MLB Network said we have no intentions of trading any of our other SPs. Could be misdirection(probably is), but man a rotation of Scherzer/Strasburg/Zimmermann/Fister/Gonzalez is just ridiculous.

Now we just gotta figure out how to hit in the clutch and in October...

Shields to the Padres.

4 years 72-78 or something like that.
Sounds about right. LMAO at that 33 year old guy thinking he was a $100 million pitcher. Pretty dope that he's closer to home now too.

Hasn't played out yet. NL West the best division in baseball? On paper?
NL Central? AL West?

If the Rockies can stay healthy, then yeah, NL West is without a doubt the best division on paper

Dave Cameron still doesn't think the Padres are any good.

I do.

Time will tell but they will go insane with Justin's up and down streaks at the dish.
