Does anyone else hate the new rule where you start on 2nd base in overtime? This rule makes everything less dramatic. One of my favorite parts of baseball were the hard fought overtime wins where someone would get a walk off homer or someone would hit a single and get replaced by a runner who would steal 2nd and get hit home. Now it seems way too easy to win a game and there isn't nearly the built up to the conclusion of the game which were some of the best moments IMO. You can literally win the game now by putting down two sacrifice bunts which is ridiculous.

I really don't think we will find out this season if we will like it or not. Baseball will be shut down by the end of next week.

Would be nice for them to at least have a few trial runs with 7 inning games before the shut down

It's fine for this weird season but they shouldn't keep it. I have a distinct feeling that a runner on 2nd with fans in the seats would lead to something like 2/3rds or more extra innings games would be won by the home team.

Replace it with a mini homerun derby - with each team picking 3 of their players to participate - much like hockey does it with their shootouts.
