I know its only been 3 games, but this guy looks legit.

went 4-4 today with a homer and scored the winning run against the Jays. He's now 7 for 11 on the season.

Looks like a solid hitter. Heard he can play defense too. He should be able to hit 20 HR easily.

Big fan of what this guy can do, hate that he chose the Jays to show it off.

hes more of a free swinger. doesnt walk much but i agree with whoever said he could hit 20+ HRs easily especially in that park and in that division. can play multiple positions defensively.
im projecting .278-23-78 with a gold glove caliber 3B.

He has tremendous plate discipline, he walked twicw last night and maybe 6 or 7 times in four games.

http://www.japanesebaseball.com/players/player.jsp?PlayerID=993&Year=2002&Part=1

here are his numbers from japan, he walked 70 times in 620+ plate appearances last yr. so he walked roughly every 9 ABs, which is ehh. on average he's K'd 149 times the past 3 yrs. thats what i call free swinging. i like his .380+ OBP the last 3 yrs but i dunno how to project that to the ML.

He plays for the Rays not Jays. He also didnt choose to play for them. The Devil Rays won the posting bid so Iwamura could either negotiate a contract with the Devil Rays or play in Japan for another year.

Ahh I see what he meant now.

Did anyone else read it the same way I did?

Sorry for the confusion.

Did anyone see the catch Iwamura made vs TEX tonight? He robbed the hitter of a double. A leaping catch. Amazing.

doesnt surprise me, this guy's like a SS with a corner OF's arm. hes prolly one of the smallest 3B's ever. he only goes about 5'9 170 but his reflexes and athleticism make up for it.

He raped the Twinkies this weekend. He is much faster than I thought and he is great defensively.

Just came back today. Hit a triple, walked, hit a HUGE single in the bottom of the ninth, scored the walk-off run and made a sparkling defensive play. He didn't even get a rehab start.

I love this guy.
