The Best Middle of the Order

Who has the best middle of the order lineup? This may be homerism, but I think the Twins have got to be up there. Batting third is the reigning American League batting champion. Our cleanup hitter is batting well over .300, The 5th batter is only the reigning league MVP. Our sixth batter had a career yr with 30 hrs in what was already a pretty good career.

I know about 90% will take the Yankees, but I don't care.

Man, I'm taking the Red Sox. Ortiz-Manny-Drew? The only other team in the running are the Yankees.

That's two .300/.400/.600 hitters and one .300/.400/.500 hitter.

I would also take Red Sox middle of the order. Yankees would be close 2nd with Abreu-A-Rod-Giambi.

Ortiz/Manny/Drew

however it's really hard to argue with Beltran/Delgado/Wright

and just for those who want to live in the past(even though last time I checked they don't bat in order anymore)
Pujols, Edmonds, Rolen used to be able to beat almost all of them.

Middle of the order = 4/5/6, no? Then Ortiz is out.

Yeah, bastard. My math is bad.

If thats the case, then the Twins shouldn't be so high. Cuddyer/Morneau/Hunter is decent, but not top 2.

Isn't middle of the order 3-4-5? The middle of the order are the 3 best hitters on the team most of the time. The lineup consists of 1-9 and you have to consider your #3 hitter (usually best hitter in lineup) the heart of the order.

Have you seen a lot of six-hole hitters? The Twins 4-6 is pretty good compared to almost everybody,

Lee/Ramirez/Soriano would be up there. You know, when they finally admit Alfonso leading off doesn't work.
