WHAT is with David Wright?

Post#1 » by GreenerPastures » Tue May 1, 2007 10:57 pm

This is the biggest dropoff I have ever seen. He's batting .244 with 0 home runs and 6 RBI's. And he's played in every game! The reason he provides is:

The biggest dropoff you've ever seen? It's May 1.

Complete non-issue.

I'd wait until it gets warmer and baseball is in more season, but I suppose he could pull a Morgan Ensberg of a few years back.

I wouldn't worry yet. He's doing what Aramis Ramirez had been doing for the past few years up until now.

Why are we looking at april stats again?
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

He got booed at Shea Stadium, but of course you'll never hear about that. However, when Arod gets booed, it's national news and everybody for the LA Times to the New York Times writes articles about the "awful" Yankee fans.

Thank god he's not a complete bust like that Alex Gordon guy. What a waste of a pick.

Ditto that Nick Markakis dude.

Chris Young as well. Dustin Pedroia is garbage, too. And watch Billy Butler go like 1-4 tonight in his debut. Manny Ramirez? Awful. Ditto Ryan Howard and Albert Pujols.

David Wright has a .370 OBP.

David Wright is the LVP of April... which is about as important as the MVP of April.

David Wright = the anti-Chris Shelton.

In September, none of this will mattter.

I agree lets wait til June/July and see what his numbers look like. He could be pressing too much early but should come around.

Funny how come september-october, his stats will be fine.

David Wright, Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols...they all suck right?
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."
