I think it was cheap because they hit our best hitter Derrek Lee in the face/ and or wrist that was previously injured. Also, if you want to retaliate for Soriano hitting a monster home run, then get him out.

why's it cheap to hit there best player? thems the rules in regarding retaliation and will always be that way.

yea its acceptable to throw at the opponents best player in retaliation but you never go near the head.... ribs and below.

I remember some one this year threw at prince fielders head and he didn't go after him. He just pwned him the next game and scored the game winning run.

The pitcher was Matt Capps for the Pirates and in addition to scoring the winning run the next day he also hit 2 homers.
