Braun's also on a good team that should make the playoffs. That's a big plus for voters.

Pence is a stud, can you believe the Astros found a way to leave him off the roster at the start of the year? What the hell were they thinking?
I haven't seen that kid Braun but looking at his numbers he's pretty good, but I hope the Astros sucking doesn't punish Pence with the voters.
I guess I'll get to see Braun this week when they play each other, should be a fun series!
Please don't let Biggio get too many hits so he can get 3,000 here at home, thanks Brewers pitchers!

I'm a huge fan of Pence. Haven't seen a lot of him in action, except in highlights, but from what I have heard, he has the total package. He is a quality hitter who plays a very good centerfield. He is moving into the select group of young outfielders like Jeff Francoeur and Alex Rios.

Except Pence hits over .300 while Francoeur struggles to maintain a .300 OBP.

Like Pence though, Francoeur also had a torid start to his career after a mid-season call-up. I fully expect Pence's numbers to level out once the league gets a book on him.

2B Mike Fontenot - 1.138 OPS
3B Ryan Braun - 1.017 OPS
OF Hunter Pence - .960 OPS
And that doesn't include today, when Fontenot hit another home run and went 3-4 while Braun and Pence went 1-10. I'm just sayin'

and Mike Fontenot has played a grand total of 20 games. Come back when the sample size is comparable to the other 2 players.

That OBP is nothing to write home about. Expecially when pitchers adjust and see you start to chase pitches and get you down 0-1, 1-2, etc.

Um, obviously. This post is about the NL ROY, not who the better prospect is.

I didn't say it was anything to write home about.
Thanks though!

Who the hell writes home about OBP anyway?
Dear Mom,
Camp has been great. We hiked up Mt. Washington this morning and went fishing this afternoon. Last weekend we even got to canoe down the Connecticut River! Sadly, not all is well here. We just got word that Hunter Pence is only OBPing .325. It got Jimmy so upset he didn
