the Rangers have traded Kenny Lofton to the Indians for catcher Max Ramirez.
Ive looked at Ramirez's #'s the thing i hate is he's 22 years old and only in High A.
Can the prospexperts (get it prospect experts, spread the word!) comment on how good this guy can be or will he be a AAAA player. He seems to have good plate discipline and Ive heard he wont stick at Catcher.

Not sure about the prospect, but Kenny is still a solid player (some how?) good move by Cleveland IMO.
Is Sizemore going to be moved out of the leadoff spot? (He's still leading off right?)

im guessing, he'd get more run producing chances moving down. kenny was very good for us, maybe our best player since teixeira missed a month, him or marlon byrd. im also assuming kenny will be in left field

I'm not sure if it's legit... But some are also saying they have acquired Dotel for Ben Francisco..
Not confirmed though...

Max Ramirez is projected to be a flat out masher, but his defense needs some serious serious work. The Indians were considering moving him to 1B and possibly even the DH role. The problem for Max in Cleveland is that Hafner, Martinez, and Garko have those three spots locked down for the forseeable future. I think its a good move for both sides, although I hate the thought of giving up Max's potential for a Kenny rental, and KLove was my favorite player growing up.
It would make sense to bat Grady third and to have Kenny hit leadoff, but Wedge is very stubborn, so dont be surprised to see Kenny batting 7th or 8th.
As for Dotel for Francisco. I would do that deal in a heartbeat. Francisco showed some flashes, but his future is questionable. RP is at a premium and to only give up Francisco for a chance to solidify the bullpen would be a great move.

Good move by Cleveland to acquire Kenny, he still has some gas left, so he should continue to produce.

I think a return to Cleveland will give a spark to Lofton.

Good move by the Rangers. They traded an aging vet in Lofton to get younger and got a young C in Ramirez. Hard to believe this is his second time getting traded and he hasnt even made it to the majors.

good move for both teams. lofton's a good deadline-type guy to add on a team.
since this guy's a C, and if the braves/texas trade falls through. will jarod move to 1b?

I like seeing Lofton go back to Cleveland, and I agree he's still a solid player, surprisingly.
