Canseco told WEEI-Radio in Boston on Friday that he has "other stuff" on the Yankees slugger, who he called a "hypocrite" who "was not all he appeared to be."

When asked if A-Rod had used steroids, Canseco told WEEI, "Wait and see."

"Jose has information about A-Rod and the Yankees that will be in the book. But, I am not sure if Jose is willing to disclose it at this point," Canseco's lawyer, Robert O. Saunooke, told The New York Times.

Looking for even more attention eh?

Wouldn't doubt if it's true, but he really needs to just shut up and disappear.

I disagree.

I have no problem with Jose bringing anything up as long as it's the truth. As much as I love the game Major League Baseball brought this upon themselves.

Well yea, if it's true...

..but he isn't doing it to be the messenger of truth, he's doing it for money and attention, as we all know. That part is what annoys me. I have no problem with dirty players being revealed though.

I have mixed feelings on the subject. IMO, the steroid problem is way more widespread and ingrained in our worlds sports programs than imagined. Probably all of "this" and what is to come in the months and years, could have been greatly reduced if Bud Selig would have put his hate for Bonds aside and given all of baseball a limited aminsty.

Several years ago he could have said that what was taken and used in the past is a done deal, dead issue. What is important is that from this day forward, everybody starts with a clean slate, and you will be held accountable for proof of purchase, use, or testing dirty from this day forward.

As it stands now, most have already condemed my favorite player of cheating. He may have, he isn't talking, no formal charges have been filed, time will tell. But now, because my guy has been publicly condemed, i want to know and want you to know that it's not fair to single out and just blame him. I want names. If they come from Bud, the DA, Radomski, Grimsley, or Canseco,... i don't care. Name one...Name em all!

Why the hate on Canseco? Can't handle that the guy speaks the truth?

Is he a bit of attention seeking ho? Of course he is.

But he has been pretty accurate with the people he names & steroids.

I have no problem with this.. Canseco is the man. All the haters need to STFU & actually respect him for being honest & at least admitting that he used steroids and opening up everyones eyes.

What is important is that from this day forward, everybody starts with a clean slate, and you will be held accountable for proof of purchase, use, or testing dirty from this day forward.

So, people in the past who have used steroids shouldn't be ridiculed? Like Canseco, Sosa, Bonds, etc.. have? That doesn't make sense. If you used you should be ridiculed just like they were.

The amount of money and attention that Jose makes off this doesn't even come close to what the MLB did. As a fan I see more positives from Jose revealing the truth compared to everything being swept under a rug to forget.

Seems like your calling out everybody on this thread but i'll answer for my part. What i said was Bud "could have" done years ago, not "should do" now. You must understand that we are never going to know all those that chose to "cheat" by use of PHD's. At that time we could have counted our loses, bit the bullet, move on and try and save the game. But Now, it's such a giant issue magnified by Bud and the media, that when many more names come out, all those that pointed their finger at other teams players are going to understand that their own stars were involved as well. I want names but i don't think it's going to help the game.

Canseco was my favorite player growing up, I'm not hating on him, I'm just telling it like it is about how he is basically a POS and is really only out for publicity and money rather than the moral obligation to tell the truth.

I like the fact that if he has information on certain players he is willing to share it and expose whoever is dirty, but I don't like his motivation for doing so, that's all.

Anyways, the real topic at hand is A-Rod being dirty, I wonder how much truth there is to this...

BS. If he had anything even remotely legit he would have put it in his first book. The first time around it held at least a shred of credence, now he's OFFICIALLY just a gold digging sack of ****.

The truth hurts.

How so? Cheating has been going on since the beginning of baseball...what makes it so devastating now?

Jose Canseco is a no good snitch.

Selling out your own like that is a lot worse than taking a steriod.

selling out your own? what the ****? when did baseball became la cosa nostra? is omerta rampant in baseball?

sorry man, this isn't about protecting your buddies who cheated along with you. people spend a lot of money on these sports; they deserve to know what's going on.

I feel this way also but tell it to certain Judges, Bud, MLB, Mitchell, and whoever else that wants this "damage" limited to the names out there already. Even some of those , like Clemens, has been nicely swept under the rug.

In time, the tales will be told, some of the truths be known, i think it's going to change the way we look at our teams and it's players,... forever.

oh please, you think i care why he's doing it? at least someone is speaking up instead of acting like nothing illicit is/was going on.

I don't care why he's doing it, I just care how he's doing it. yea its good that he's speaking out, but its the way he does it that makes you question his motives. if he really has legit evidence against A-Rod right now, why not take what you have to the MLB or to the Judges and let them handle it instead of making vague comments to the media just to spark controversy.

I really don't care about what this man is saying about A-Rod right now. And I'm not saying that its not possible that A-Rod has never taken anything. All I'm saying is that from Canseco's comments, we're still stuck at square one, speculating on whether he has or hasn't used, just like we're speculating with every one else.
