selig's statement after bonds' homerun

Post#1 » by ccvle » Sun Aug 5, 2007 4:41 pm

can he make it any more obvious that bonds took steriods?

Baseball Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig issued the following statement tonight after Barry Bonds tied the all-time home run record:

"Congratulations to Barry Bonds as he ties Major League Baseball's home run record. No matter what anybody thinks of the controversy surrounding this event, Mr. Bonds' achievement is noteworthy and remarkable.

"As I said previously, out of respect for the tradition of the game, the magnitude of the record and the fact that all citizens in this country are innocent until proven guilty, either I or a representative of my office will attend the next few games and make every attempt to observe the breaking of the all-time home run record."

Nevermind. I found it. Pretty alarming words. My guess is that Selig is privy to a whole bunch of damning information that has not yet hit the press. Clearly, it's eating him up inside.

What kind of info? That Bonds Used? I really don't understand Selig. We al;ready know that the pitcher who gave up the 755 HR used, he actually had tested positive. Is the pitcher being kicked out of the game or are his records going to be wiped out? What could Bud possibly hope to come out that might keep him from looking the self serving, arrogant, lying, creep we know him to be.

I read in the Washington Post that Frank Robinson is a representative. Is he the only one?

Selig is an awful commissioner. Even worse than David Stern, and that's saying something.
