yeah, it's like the media wants to have it both ways - diminishing the #s of 70s-80s stars like Dawson, Rice, taking guys like Gary Carter and Ryne Sanberg multiple attempts to get in etc in lieu of the enormous #s of the late 90s through today, BUT also keep Big Mac out, and decry the steroid era. Can't have it both ways. I am one of the people who think Big Mac should be in.

Get Ron Santo in, it's a shame he hasn't been elected.

- 9 time All-Star
- 5 time Gold Glover

National League Third Baseman leader in:
- Consecutive games (364)
- Most seasons leading league in putouts - 7
- Most seasons leading league in assists - 7

He had this amazing career all the while suffering from diabetes in a time when not much was known about the it.

Yeah I knew I was wrong about something, because I know he wouldn't be on those lists.

Im interested to see who gets more votes, Rice or McGwire. Its a true case that pins the steroid era vs the true power ear. I have a feeling that the results will surprise a lot of people.

As for who gets in, Lee Smith and Goose Gossage gets in.

Dwight Evans better get in before Jim Rice.

Blyleven, Trammell, Raines, McGwire, Dawson.

This may be the worst list in years.

I didn't know you could only be on the ballot 15 times. Why is that?

I think you figure in the weak class, and numbers do speak. I think this is his best chance to get in.

I'd go with Mark McGwire, Andre Dawson, and Jim Rice. I'd love to see Harold Baines get in, I always liked him, but I dunno bout that....

It is a weak class, for real...

I suppose you can make an arguement atleast. One thing that will hurt Evans is only being in the top 10 of MVP voting once. While Rice was in the top 10 six times.

My votes would go to:
Andre Dawson
Jim Rice

My votes:

Bert Blyleven
Rich "Goose" Gossage
Mark McGwire
Alan Trammell

Plus two write-ins for Tom Henke and Lou Whitaker
