Joe Morgan is brain dead

Post#1 » by treyZz » Mon Aug 6, 2007 1:25 am

This guy is a disgrace.. I tried to put the game on mute, but I kept dozing off when it's on mute so I had to turn the volume back on.

Morgan keeps saying Luis Castillo has played his whole career in Minnesota.. And just said that he's never played in the NL so thats why he doesn't understand the Wrigley Field wind..

Does anyone know if his contract with ESPN is running out any time soon? He needs to give it a rest.

yea I just heard that too. he also said that there was something on the field right there that always causes the wind to push the ball back towards the field. hmm... something on the field right there...

Please please bring Harold Reynolds back ESPN. I'll let him sexually harass anyone he wants to as long as Joe Morgan is gone.

No he said something like "There's something other than the wind that pushes the ball back towards 2nd base. It's like the wind blows it back to 2nd base."

Joe Morgan silent as hell when the other guy brings up Castillo's 10 years w/ the Marlins in the NL.

the other guy, John Miller usually knows what he's talking about.... but I wish they would bring back Harold Reynolds too. I thought I had heard something not to long ago saying that Reynolds got a job again but not with ESPN. Can anyone else confirm this? I just tried looking for the story but couldn't find it.

It's a shame that ESPN wastes Jon Miller with a talentless hack like Joe Morgan (broadcasting wise)

I disagree with your viewpoint. Have always liked Joe for his "non carbon copy" comments. One of the best in the game. You ought to try listening to a Yankee guy doing a Giants game. They all make much to do of their favorite teams and tick you off if yours is not one of them.

How dumb is Jon Miller? LMAO..

He thinks the Cubs fans are giving Glavine a standing ovation.. It was for Kerry Woods return.

My god.. They both are (Please Use More Appropriate Word) or both are smoking crack with Michael Irvin.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball's coverage is just godawful, and it's not just the two announcers. It's the presentation, the stupid phone and manager and interviews, etc. It's just so ridiculous.

Did you hear that ridiculous sound when they were on the phone with Smoltz?

They just let him keep talking through it too. What a train wreck.

Unfortunately, Joe Morgan is an Emmy-award winning color man--undeservedly--so we're stuck with him.

On the plus side, there's a popular blog dedicated to hating him and those like him:

Now i got to back up here and retrack my above statement. After watching the last few innings of this game it is obvious that something is wrong. Joe is not himself or at least not the Joe Morgan i've come to like and respect the last ten years or so.

He might be sick?...or something?
Brain dead?, i'm not buying.

A group of us are planning to go to the Braves/Mets game on Wednesday and getting as many people in our section as possible to yell "Joe Morgan Sucks" after the first pitch of every inning. We tried this before with only a few of us and when I watched the game afterwards I didn't hear it.
