I think it would be a good idea.

All the divisions would have 5 teams.

The Astros/Rangers rivalry would be good for Texas.

No, Pittsburgh needs to move to the NL East and the Marlins need to move to Portland (AL West) Thus giving all divisions 5 teams.

Yes but the Pirates need more help than a simple league or division change. That ownership is a disgrace. I haven't seen management so inept other than the Knicks since the Devil Rays(who still have one) and the Clippers.

This has been discussed to death on this board and the old MLB board, but having even teams in both leagues would create a scheduling nightmare. Any time interleague play isn't going on, one team in each league would have to sit out. Essentially, interleague play would have to be revamped so that there'd be at least one AL-NL series going on at all times during the season, and i'm not even sure if that's possible. It sucks that the NL and in particular the NL Central gets the short end of the stick on competition, but there's not much that can be done unless the league is expanded or contracted.

The only way to realign things is to have even numbered teams in each league to prevent an interleague series every week, which would mean either adding two more teams or taking two away, neither of which will ever happen (relocation is the only option at this point, the league is stretched thin plenty as it is).

So either you completely do away with the novelty of interleague play and put 15 teams in each league, you add two teams to the American League, or take two out of the National League.

Id like to see the Astros in the AL, the just to see how badly a mediocre NL team would get raped in the AL.

at least we dont overpay for free-agents and dont get the results.

15 teams in each league would either A) create interleague play every night of the year or B) cause one team in each league to be off every night.

he is by far our best hitter this year.

.300 averge, 20 hrs and leads the NL in RBIS

1. He does not lead the NL in RBI.

2. A 36 year old Carlos Lee making $18.5 million in 2012 is going to be funny. Almost as funny as Soriano making $72 million over 5 years when he's 34-38.
