Brian Bannister. When the trade happened I was like.... wow Omar got a great deal. A flamethrowing youngster who was rushed up by KC for a guy who was what he was, a 5 inning pitcher who struggled the entire game but he has been everything but that. What a story and its hindsight 20/20 but Omar f'd up.

It should be between Pedroia, Matsuzaka and Bannister. They are the obvious top 3.

KC Brain Bainster has put up the best numbers but will he get the award playing in that market in last place.

NL Braun too simple.

NL Braun too simple.

Not really, if you actually value defense it's pretty close. They have the same amount of Win Shares and Tulo has a big WARP3 advantage of 4.4. But hey good thing voters don't look at defense!

It's not simple anymore.
Braun is in a big slump as of late and Hunter Pence is tearing it up again.
Don't get me wrong I still think Ryan Braun will win the ROY but it is kind of getting tight.

Pence missed too much time. Braun has more homers, a better batting average and I think more steals anyway.

Is Pat Neshak a rookie? No one talks about Delmon Young or BJ Upton but my vote goes to Dice K

Neshek is not a rookie, neither is BJ Upton. Young will probably get some votes from voters who only look at his pretty solid average and very good RBI totals but ignore his pathetic on base percentage and well below average slugging percentage.

Pedroia gets it for me. He's just had a heck of a season.

Shut the hell up about defense braun has put up great numbers and has been a top 5 player in the MLB. THE MLB, not only rookies since his call up. And Braun has made some great plays. He has made some stupid plays. He is a rookie.

It's from Boston, no question.

Pedroia, Dice-K or Okajima.

I'd personally pick Okajima, the kid surprised everyone. He was supposed to just give Dice-K company, but instead is one of the best relievers this year.
