Yes.

He certainly does and he should be able to do it several times during his career.

He already has 27 career wins. The only limitation here is his health. I'm no mechanics expert, but I don't think too many people like his mechanics.

wins? who cares about wins? that's a function of run support.

He's too old and maxed out. Pitchers are done at age 21 these days.

He has the "stuff" to be a 25 win pitcher.

At this point in time, he's nothing but an overrated, mediocre pitcher. And if you don't think he's been mediocre, prove to me otherwise.

I think Hernandez has the the ability to be the best pitcher in the league. His stuff is other worldly and induces lots of ground balls. Have the results shown that, though? Not really. He was decent last year, and he's been decent this year, with the occasional flashes of brilliance mixed in. He's been way too hittable for a pitcher with his kind of stuff.

Hernandez: 8.1 K/9, 2.6 BB/9, 61.1 GB%, 3.35 xFIP, 3.81 FIP, 1.39 WHIP, 15.5 LD%, .344 BABIP
Verlander: 8.1 K/9, 3.0 BB/9, 41.0 GB%, 4.40 xFIP, 3.83 FIP, 1.23 WHIP, 18.8 LD%, .285 BABIP
Kazmir: 9.7 K/9, 4.0 BB/9, 42.8 GB%, 4.13 xFIP, 3.86 FIP, 1.43 WHIP, 14.9 LD%, .340 BABIP

These are the numbers I would use to judge how a pitcher is pitching, and there from this year, to me Felix is the best of this bunch, so I hope to god you consider Kazmir and Verlander mediocre or worse, thus having very high standards.

so we're supposed to consider a 4.17 ERA (barely over 100 ERA+) and a 1.43 WHIP good? sounds average at best. yes, he's still young and will most likely improve, but he's not that great right now.

verlander has given up fewer hits than IP and has struck out about the same, has a higher ERA+...i'd say he's better than felix right now. hernandez will be very good in a few years.

If you think ERA is the end all be all you can do whatever you want. And as you can tell by looking at his BABIP he has been quite unlucky.

yeah, because i didn't quote his WHIP or anything. good point on BABIP though, that's absurdly high.
he's not that great right now but his stuff definitely is filthy. can't wait to see him in a few years when he's polished.
