I'm pretty sure Bonds won't leave the west coast, but I would love to see him go to Pittsburgh for 1 year or Detroit.

I can't blame the Giants at all. That team needs a major overhaul.

I believe the Giants made a huge mistake. In letting Bonds go, they are going to giving up a portion of the fans who actually come to the park to see Barry Bonds. Aside from some great young pitching, Bonds was the main reason to show. They are giving up a chance to allow Bonds to retire a Giant. They did the same thing with Mays, in fact, also about every good to great player they've had in the last 25 years. They are giving up on one of the greatest players in baseball History and they're so sorry to see him go. Wrong answer.

I'll be watching a different team next year. Hope i get the games without having to pay extra for the service. Skrew the Giants and Hello to who ever believes that Barry Bonds still can offer direct impact and signs him to contract.

You act as if Bar-roid is 30-years old. Much less, can still play in the field regulary.

If he wants to retire as a Giant, he still can after this season ends.

He achieved his record and San Fran has put off rebuilding for him to capture it with them.

I don't know if you have noticed Mr. Barry Bonds lover, but that team isn't going anywhere and hasn't been going anywhere for several years.

Hey Scrub, imagine a picture of my big ol' hand. Now think of it with one finger sticking up.

I've heard it all before, years before, Bonds is washed up, can't play the field anymore, bla, bla. Fact is, he did play in the field 125 games this year and he felt he could do so for another season. IMO, The man deserved, earned, a place on this team if he wanted to come back and by the Giants not allowing him to do so was a mistake.

The Giants have had a winning record and made the playoffs many times on the strength of Bonds bat. This year they chose to spend the money on Zito instead of getting someone to protect him in the batting order. Bonds still put up great numbers despite repetedly getting walked with RISP or after each HR. Don't blame Bonds for the Giants lack of success this year Mr. Bonds Hater.

As far as your comment about my love of Bonds, i'm sure i don't feel or react any differently than many of you feel or would react to a bashing of A-rod, Braun, Howard, or whoever your favorite player happens to be. I've been a fan of this guy since he was a A.State. So, get off my back Jack and take a good look at my hand.

I'm sorry, but you're the worst fan I've ever seen in the history of RealGM.

I'm not sure if you follow baseball just for Barry or if you're actually a Giants fan, but if you can't support the Giants just because he's gone (even after all he's done for that franchise), then you to re-evaluate your love for the game.

BTW, if Barry gets even remotely close to Boston, I'm putting out a hit for both him and Theo.

So i come out with strong opinions and voice ideas and concerns and i'm the worst ever, huh? Or is it that i don't try to stick my head in the sand and act like things in "my side of the country" are really OK, when they're not? Or is it because i've stood up for Bonds and will continue to do so while he happens to be the scapegoat everyone points their finger at?

You also have no right to question my loyalty to the game. No one has looked more forward to watching the game that i do. I'm 53 and I was Born a Giants fan. They have consistantly gotten rid of my favorite players before they had to, starting with Mays, then Will Clark, Matt williams, Ellis Burks, JT Snow, and Jack Clark just to name a few. Now, some including the Giants have blamed Bonds for their demise, that they won't get better unless they deny him one final season, i'm not buying into that, at all.

I am though, going to be able to "move on". My comments here are mostly to vent a bad smell. I think what the Giants did and have done stinks and even though there is little i can do about it, i have EARNED the RIGHT to CRITISIZE. I guess i'm the only one or worst to do that also.

Thats the statement is what provoked me to say what I said. If you've been a Giants fan for so long, and they've gotten rid of so many other quality players over the years, then why will Bonds leaving make you finally jump ship and become a fan of a different team?

Plus, why do you accuse me of sticking my head in the sand when my favorite team is going through a rough patch? Whenever the Yanks aren't doing so hot, I'll be the last person to bitch and moan about their troubles. I may not be happy about whats going on when they're on the rocks, but I won't shut myself in and mope until they start to do well again.

Maybe I shouldn't have said that you're the worst fan on RealGM, but you're certainly not the most intelligible or intelligent one I've seen in my time here.

Gunna, Some guys i know have changed favorite teams 4-5 times. Am i not allowed to do so one time. I've come to end of my rope. I dislike Sabean, think he is a liar, i just no longer like the organization. When Bonds leaves , i'm going with him. He has been a pretty good baseball player and i love to watch how the game changes when he comes to the plate.

You are perfectly within reason to attack how intelligible my posts are[you are the first] and for that i do apoligise. i have learned little of typing and none of how to check spelling during this past year and a half. I am a late starter. My intelligence is rated only fair. But why attack me? Isn't this thread about Bonds and The Giants?

Son GOFU, Thanks, But, No! i didn't start this thread but i certainly will express my views on it. I suggest you mind you own business. Don't like it?, don't read it.
