I went with the Rockies in 5. I like Arizona, wish them well, but i just don't think they will be able to hang offensivly with the Rox. So far these two teams are both playing better than awsome, have been very enjoyable to watch, and are great representatives of the National league West.
GO ROX!

Rockies in 6. I think the Rockies are just too hot right now to lose a series. Ala St.Louis from last year.

They're going to have 4 days off, don't know if they'll keep the pace up to win in 5...we'll see
and I'll admit I stole this, but: Reasons why the D'Backs should win
(1) The Law of Averages. They've won 17 out of 18, so they can't keep winning forever, right? Given the law of averages, the Rockies are due to lose.
(2) The Rockies Will Be Cooled Off. The NLCS doesn't start until Thursday, so that's four full days off. Both teams will be a little rusty, but it should be a bigger disadvantage for the Rockies since they're in the midst of a torrid streak.
(3) The Running Game. Yorvit Torrealba has allowed 61 stolen bases this season, with 15 caught stealing, for a rate of 19.7%. And we have one of the best running teams in the majors, with Byrnes, Young, Upton, Drew, and Reynolds all capable of swiping a bag.
(4) Good Against Lefties. The top two Rockies starters, Francis and Morales, are left-handed. We have a good record against lefties this season, and we have the ability to stack our lineup with 7 or 8 good righty hitters.
(5) Home Field Advantage. Both the D'Backs (50-31) and the Rockies (51-31) play significantly better at home. And we have home field advantage in this series.
(6) Pitching Wins Championships. Over the course of the season, the Rockies have had the better offense (860 runs scored versus 712), but the DBacks have had the better pitching (732 runs allowed versus 758). (The gap in runs scored would be even bigger if you throw out the ERA's of our worst regular season relievers who won't be used in the playoffs.) In the playoffs, good pitching beats good hitting. And every hitter will be heavily scouted.
(7) The Webb Factor. Webb is the best pitcher in the playoffs, and a true #1 starter. He has the potential to pitch 3 games in a 7 game series.

All good points! Some, more so than others. And... And you probably will again be the dog. I think you guys enjoy the roll of the "underdog". Good luck. I'm really looking forward to this series. Big Time Baseball, Yes!!

I was rooting for the D-Backs against the Cubs and i'm glad they pulled it off. D-Backs will NOT be scared of the Rox run, and their won't be a sweep for either side. I like the Rox in a tough 6 games but wouldn't be surprised to see the D-Backs go to the series. BOTH TEAMS ARE EXTREMELY UNDERRATED AND HAVE GOOD FUTURES. It will be fun to watch.

Diamondbacks in 6
Pitching is going to be the key in this series, IMO.

Just wait for the ESPN experts to cast their predictions and then go the opposite way. Chances are you won't be far off.

Fact.
We'll be the underdogs again, which is fine.

Thats what everyone said in the Phils series. They were going to out-pitch the Rockies, and that would be the key to the series. That worked out well.
The difference here, though, is that the D-Backs are a crappy offensive team....where as Philly is a great offensive team. If thats the key to the series, then Arizona should be the "underdogs."

Well I picked both teams to lose in the first round, so I'm not sure I should even being casting a vote in the first place. I'm going to go with the Rockies tho, I'll take them in 6.

Besides Webb of course, I like the Rox pitching much, much better. DBacks take Game 1 with Webb, then lose 3 straight to Morales/Jimenez/Buchholz, then win Game 5 with Webb, then lose Game 6.

This series is really a great thing for baseball. It's going to give two teams with some great young talent a stage in front of America. What if Holliday or Upton or Tulo or Young hit walk off HRs? They are going to go from being underrated to household names. If they put some effort into marketing this and they get lucky and people watch, this series could be PHENOMENAL for baseball. mahalo

Don't get me wrong, I love this series. But this series will ganer next to nothing ratings-wise, expecially since it'll be on TBS and not FOX.
Personally, I can't wait for this series. Two teams that play true fundamental baseball.

Rockies in 6. Livian Hernandez or Doug Davis pitching in Colorado? LOL. Rockies offense wins out, which is why they will win.
