Ditto... Dodgers are my new favorite team.

Hopefully they take down the Mets in the NLCS. :)

I wish him the best. I feel bad for Proctor though, Torre damn near destroyed his arm in NY, then Grady turned his arm into silly puddy, now Torre has arrived to finish the job.

I think the LA fans are overstating what Joe Torre will do for the club, though.

As a Dodger fan, I am stoked about this move.

Not really. We dont have too much to lose. We have a great mix of youngs and vets on this team and there is no bridge there. Grady Little was terrible at his job and as was shown at the end of last season it really costs us the season.
I dont know who else other than Joe could give us an opportunity to take another step. Its not a huge risk because we dont have that much to lose. We havent won a playoff series in 20 years.

Low risk high reward.

I'm not saying that it isn't a low risk high reward, I just don't think he will lead them to the promise land like some predict & hope for. Plus he isn't going to be coaching forever, I doubt he asks for another contract 3 seasons from now.

Well, they are going to need to hit better next year. But you are underestimating how bad Grady Little truly is. I bet he cost them 5 or 6 games over the course of a season.
