Official Spring Training Thread

Since intrasquad games have been starting up the past couple days, it seems appropriate to start up a thread for general musings about happenings in games. Here you can rave about the progress of your team's young uberprospect, rant about how your team's big free agent signing is playing like crap, or get overexcited because your team's token AAAA callup is hitting .387 over 30 at-bats.

(Just remember it all goes out the window come April.)

Fire away!

As an A's fan it would be nice to see him keep his power stroke going the whole season.

I read the Mets were given all they could handle by Michigan the other day. Wagner was about to start drilling kids because they made him so mad trying to win the game.

Wagner is a bum, he's funny though. He made a quote bout the Phils that if they want to beat up a 37 year old and laugh about it, so be it. But if he manages to knock one out, they just got beat up by him.

Lastings Milledge continues to bash the Mets .... yeesh.

Oh and Fernando Martinez made a SC highlight on a catch today :D And so it begins

Is Quadruple-A a new level in the system? :)

Johan gave up 3 earned yesterday, what a bust he is.

I think Ryan Braun should have the F(ielder) taken out of LF, and have it replaced with G and E, for Left Guaranteed Error.

He actually hasn't looked that bad in the field.

you've never heard that term before? it pretty much means a guy who rakes at triple A but sucks in the majors for whatever reason, every team has 1 or 2 of them and usually are at least 25 usually closer to 30

Or pitches great in AAA and sucks in the majors. Ben Hendrickson is the first name I think of when I think of AAAA pitcher.

Rays win again.

Longoria doing well, and Baldelli made his first appearance (0-2).

Good spring training records always translate to the regular season.

Michael Kay: Maybe Kyle Farnsworth could provide a bridge to Mariano Rivera and Joba could start in the rotation.

::Teh Pr0f3sser immediately gives up HR to Pat Burrell::

That sequence of events couldn't have happened more logically.

Fukudome is really impressing me with his patience at the plate. This is the first time I have seen a Cub be so patient at the plate.

Yup, Andy Phillips was the main Yankees AAAA player for the past 3 or 4 years.
