ESPN reports on the 5pm Sportscenter
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3271173
ESPN wrote:The documents will show the indicted slugger had additonal positive steroids tests beyond the previously reported one in November 2000, according to a source familiar with the government's evidence
During his grand jury appearance in 2003, prosecutors also presented Bonds with a drug test showing a positive steroids result for a player they called "Barry B." Bonds said he never before saw those results.
Anderson, who was released after Bonds was indicted, is expected to be called to testify if Bonds' case goes to trial. Anderson maintains that he will refuse to testify if ordered, making it likely he would return to prison if the Bonds case does go to trial.

...and then you came back for more.
You also mostly post on the SF Giants board, and Stanford is... what, 45-60 minutes from Frisco?
Its news, people care. You might not, but they wouldn't report it, if people didn't care.
As a Cub fan, whenever I hear news about Sammy, I still tune in, its almost habitual. He was such a large part of the Chicago sports culture.
Same can be said about Barry, SF, and you can throw in Stanford peeps in there too.
Unless your name is Stanford... errr something like that.

Congress... they apparently have nothing better to do. So glad we have solved so many problems that we can focus on cheating in sports.

BULL even PAX, I'm on your side, man.
I care.

Hey man, thanks hippie, but I want to clear things up.
Its not that I care so much, or don't care at all. Its news, big news.
This thread has had over 220+ clicks, people obviously care, and are returning to see what others say.
So here's my rant...
If Bonds and/or Clemens(I think their fates are intertwined) are prosecuted for perjury and eventually found guilty for doing steroids (Lord I hope so), then I believe its just the tip of the iceberg.
That will allow others who have done steroids or have been affiliated with steroids to be looked upon on a different light. I mean, look at Chargers' LB, Shawn Merriman, he frickin' won DPOY. How? He was suspended for cheating, steroids. I don't understand it.
I'm a big Cub fan, but if Bonds, Clemens, Merriman, among others, can be forgiven for what they did, how come White Sox fans can't rest
at peace with their black sox scandal? Know what I mean?
I once payed big bucks to watch Sammy play over the years, not to mention all the countless hours I sat on the concrete of Waveland avenue waiting to get into the bleacher gates at Wigley field. I could've sat anywhere else in the field, and didn't have to wait for hours so I could get a bleacher seat against the wall, but I wanted a Sammy Sosa HR ball. Never got one, by the way.
I was duped. Duped into believing I was watching something that was historic, special, but in the end I lost belief that Sammy did it the pure way. Hes never been caught doing anything but Sammy didn't do it the right way.
He went to "his guys" in the Dominican to get his roids. In the DR, he is King, "his guys" aren't going to turn him in, and the government can't subpoena Sammy's "guys".
Bonds, and Clemens were just fools. Bonds going to a corrupt trainer and a bay area crooked drug lab, and Clemens going to a crooked ex-cop with a fake medicine degree.
I know I'll never get my money back, that fine. I know I'll also never be able to get my time back, but...
For all those years I payed big bucks, this would be my closure, and I would then lose my grudge on the whole situation.

To correct you, it was actually Bob Sanders, we're both wrong.
I knew the facts, just mis-typed. I meant to say he was voted to the pro-bowl, which later established the
"Shawn Merriman" Rule.

...and what did I type in my post that needed credibility?
It wasn't like I claimed to have inside info or anything, did I?
Next time, could you please run my post through spell check as well?

How many fingers am I holding up? Quick.
Sorry I offended you BULL even PAX. It's not your thread no one cares about, it's the topic.

Nope not offended at all, and I didn't sound to be negative or demeaning in any way, so sorry if I was.
Just wanted to point out that fans of baseball who were deeply affected by the Steroid fiasco still care. I myself, am one of those people, having been such a big fan of Sammy for so long.
I understand your angle on it.
I guess I could see lots of people in SF not really caring at all anymore. It was such big news, and now its just over saturated the SF sports market, you just want it to disappear without any care of the outcome.
Stanford, Good thing for you and others in the SF area ESPN isn't based out of SF.
No hard feelings bro.

No, Jason Taylor won that year. Bob Sanders won this year.
