Anyone catch his debut today? Yes, I know it's only ST and that the Yanks regulars were out of the lineup. Still... 6'6 lefty throwing 97-99 consistently with an 87 MPH slider? Nasty as hell.

He was the #1 overall pick for just that reason.

Awesome debut for Price (minus the HBP).

1 0 0 0 0 3.

9 of his last 12 pitches were thrown for strikes. 97-98-99 mph were registered.

He is a beast, Tampa Bay will be pleased with him in their rotation in the coming years.

I didn't follow him that closely, What's his potential?

Very high. Has great stuff and command.

Mid to upper 90's fastball that moves.

Wicked slider.

A changeup he throws at 80 mph.

While we're on the subject of fantastic left handed pitching prospects check out this nasty curveball by Clayton Kershaw.

David Price is going to be a perennial All-Star and challenge C.C. Sabathia for best southpaw in the game in a few years.

Johan might have something to say about that.

Whoops! Completely slipped my mind. I guess I will clarify with best southpaw in the AL. (assuming CC stays in the AL)
