Sammy Sosa, who joined with Mark McGwire in 1998 in a celebrated pursuit of baseball’s single-season home run record, is among the players who tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug in 2003, according to lawyers with knowledge of the drug-testing results from that year.

They should release the entire list, stop listing one guy at a time. Its a joke.

I'm disappointed because I think every 90s child loved Slammin' Sammy, but I'm not shocked in the least. My childhood will truly be ruined if news comes out about Junior, though.

Bill Plaschke had a great idea, I thought: have Selig announce that they are going to release the names of all 104 players in exactly one week, and anybody that wants to come out on their own terms has until that day to do it. That's fair all around, is it not? Players get to be revealed with some dignity and the fans get to hear about every cheater in the game that is on that list.
*I hope Ken Griffey, Jr's name never, ever comes up.

Re: Sosa Said to Test Positive in 2003
None of the player's names should be released because they agreed to take an anonymous test. This makes Sosa, A-Rod, and others look worse because it appears that there were only a few bad apples when in reality a lot of guys were juicing.
I'm not surprised by Sosa, I really don't have a reaction either. I should be pissed, but I already was with the way he left the Cubs. I guess I'm just disappointed because it ruins the magical aura behind the '98 season.
