How Underrated of a player chase utley is, and in the same fashion, how Overrated ryan howard is.
Players like utley rarely come around, howard is a dime-a-dozen player.
That is all.

He's right with Pujols for me when you take into account position and offensive and defensive contribution.

I think you need to check the meaning of "a dime a dozen."

Re: I can't believe..
I don't think Howard is overrated at all. People know what they're getting with the guy: a power hitting, with good-great OPS and a high K count. He's not terrible at playing first either.
Utley is just quiet, people know he's out there. There aren't many star players in any sport who go about their daily business as quietly and as well as Chase Utley does.

Re: I can't believe..
Last year's MVP votes and probably this years will indicate how overrated he is. HIS VORP is mediocre at best.
there are many people out there who think howard is incredibly elite for driving in tons of runs and hitting tons of HRs. they can't comprehend RBIs is a bi-product of your teammates.
There are many who believe he is the second best 1b in the game, but really is essentially a near middle of the pack type 1b.
Hrs and RBIs really warp the clueless' minds.

While I do think Ryan Howard is overrated, he is having a very good season. You hit 42 homeruns and 35 doubles your doing something right. I do this his OBP should be higher.
I do think he's the second best at his position either. I would have him around 7 tho.
Pujols
Fielder
Gonzalez
Teixeira
Youkilis
Cabrera
Howard
Derrek Lee, atleast this year, should be in that group as well.
As for Utley, no doubt he's underrated. He plays the great right and he's one hell of a player.
