I have a feeling Sabathia's going to implode soon.

He just really hit Tolbert hard. Maybe I was right.

He's starting to lose. A ball flew off of him and got Punto on.

Meh. Not quite an implosion. If he gets out of the inning without giving up a run then I wouldn't call it an implosion at all. That, of course, relies on him getting out of the inning. We shall see.

PS- does anyone still wonder why Burnett would rather throw to Molina? Posada, you are killing me.

I don't want Hughes to only face 1 batter. I'd like to think Joe would stick with Hughes. Hughes is the only one in the pen with multiple innings of post season experience (outside of Mo). Even if it was 1 game 2 years ago.

Not exactly a Cokehead. I wouldn't be surprised if he gave up a couple runs...

EDIT- I meant, Coke is a STUD! I wouldn't be surprised if he only had to throw 1 pitch....

This series is going to be over quickly. Doubt the Twins even get to their best pitcher.

yea, his name is joe nathan

anyways the game has mostly been background noise as im at my computer listening to music but everytime i look up they keep showing a replay of a bad strike call by the home plate umpire

anyways it'd be nice if the twins dont piss away this 3-1 lead, do you let nathan go 2? b/c u know mo would in this situation

Meriwhether is doing his best to make CB Bucknor look like a straight shooter behind the plate.

The worst is that Ron Darling is consistently defending him by saying the bad calls have at least been "consistent". Only they haven't been that either really.

id say the yanks are getting the worst of the calls b/c they're so much more disciplined in comparison to twins hitters so obviously they're going to see more pitches (and in this case more strikes)

f*ck these umps, it's one thing to have god awful balls and strikes calls, but to miss a blatantly obvious fair/foul call is another thing

It sucks that Mauer got shafted on that double but it doesn't erase the fact that the yankees were screwed all night long by the umps. It also doesn't excuse the twins for not scoring with the bases loaded with no outs or Carlos Gomez with the biggest base running blunder I've ever seen.

The twins were 3 outs away from winning the game, that team has no one to blame but themselves for not finishing the yanks off.

Here's hoping we can close it out sunday night.
