Dodgers win game one and shut down Carpenter and Pujols. Game two is tied 1-1 off Holliday and Ethier homers.

Now the Cards know what it's like to have Dick Stockton broadcast you and to have two heartbreaking losses to the Dodgers in which three key players all suck for you.

Ok, more constructive, the Cards luckily still have the advantage in pitching matchups throughout the series. The Rasmus running mistake kind of hurt, in addition to the Holliday inexcusable drop. Would have loved to Smoltz closing that game out after Miller got out the lefty, oh well.

Oh and yeah, David Wells lets leave Wainwright in for the rest of the game, did you not see the end of the 8th. But props to Wainwright pitched a helluva game.

Yeah, Wells is a moron. Absolutely no excuse for leaving Wainwright in after he loaded the bases in the 8th inning.

God, I feel for Holliday. That's gonna stick with him for a while.

"He lost the ball in the 50,000 white towels shaking in front of his face," starting pitcher and would-be hero Adam Wainwright said. "It doesn't seem really fair that an opposing team should be allowed to shake white towels when there's a white baseball flying through the air. Dodger blue towels — how about that?"

You have no idea how much I'm hoping for white towels in St. Louis on Saturday.

It looked like he saw the ball he just couldn't decide how he was going to catch it. I can't imagine how he feels right now. At least he hit a HR. :dontknow:

And the Dodgers complete the sweep. The team with the 2 best pitchers and the best hitter are swept. Go figure..

Epic in every way that the Cardinals were swept. Gotta think Pujols won't be too happy with the Dodgers celebration, wasn't classy enough.
