I see the Yankees making a real push for Holliday, who else smells another championship?

If I were the yankees I would be going after Halladay more than anything.

Neither. The Yankees are confident that they can resign Damon for 2 years & address the LF issues in 2012.

I honestly think the Yankees priorities do not include signing the "top flight" free agents this year. They want to

1. Resign Damon (and do it quickly)
2. Ditto for Pettitte.
3. Get another bullpen arm (I'm not a big fan of this but beat writers insist they are in the market for another arm in the pen).
4. Sign or trade for another pitcher (not Lackey).

I think the Yankees are honestly not sure what to do with Matsui. If not for his monster WS I think the Yankees would have already told him "Thanks for everyone & best of luck to you". Too many guys need time at the DH spot next season to have Matsui there for 120 games.

There are some rumors about Cashman putting Swisher on the trading block & I don't know how true that is. If they were to trade Swisher, this offseason would be the ideal time. His stock can only go down. I like Swisher though & hope he stays in the Bronx.

I guess I should have gone into more details but I assumed people knew. The Red Sox have been rumored to go hard after Adrian Gonzalez this offseason. Especially considering the Padres new GM. Theo was trying everything at the deadline to get Felix. The Red Sox have tried harder than every other that I know of to get both of those guys.

According to Baseball America, the Yankees signed Dominican prospect Eladio Moronta. The center fielder, who recently had a MLB suspension for misrepresenting his age lifted, is said to have excellent speed and a strong arm.

On a side note: Suspended for misrepresenting his age? Really? Somewhere, El Duque is shaking his head and laughing out loud.

Can't hurt a guy for trying. Perhaps other GM's just figured it was a lost cause. The rumor I heard was the Sox told the M's they could take any 6 prospects they wanted for Felix. Not sure how true that is tho.

So now we have a quarter back who has broken almost all if not all of the cowboys single season passing records..and yeah i forgot to mention it took Peyton how long 9 years? to win his first superbowl. This is tonys liggit 3rd year as a starter bc alot of ppl have forgoten that he was sitting on the bench his first 4 years in dallas. And hes only played in 2 playoff games not like hes played in a handful of games in the post season. I think its great that Tony brought a team that went 5-11 three years in a row to the playoffs 2 out of his 3 years starting. He will win a playoff game this year garunteed. So screw you and all of the other cowboys haters.
