Oh Yes, I agree with you. Tua ain't gettin the steak and Lobster in free agency. But my point was in the eyes of the owner. The Coach who I'm sure signed off. The GM, who of course signed off. They wouldn't have a guarantee anything better or of equal value is comin back thru that door.
So THEY BELIEVED, they had to make the deal. Because if Not Tua, Then who? And is that whomever a guarantee to be of equal accuracy or efficiency in running that offensive system

He did have the most yards in the NFL. But yeah the Dolphins are unlikely to break through in the AFC.
However by the end of last season, Dolphins were decimated, with both their edge rushers out.
If they can get some home playoffs games with their wide open passing game, they could shock teams.
In any event, they’re paying Tyreke and they’re going to be paying Waddle big money in a couple of seasons so they’re not going to start over with some developmental QB.

Wow that Tua contract and now the Trevor Lawrence contract look bad.
So is Prescott's deal.
3 QBs get huge contracts in the offseason, all have started the season poorly.

Dak’s numbers are actually not bad.

Don't think Dak and Tua should have gotten their deals, but at least if Tua retires, it won't be too bad for the Dolphins salary cap.
Trevor Lawrence is very good and the Jags had to extend him.

I haven't watched the Saints-Cowboys game.
I assume that the Cowboys defense isn't holding up.
But there are going to be games where your franchise QB and one of the best WRs in the league are going to have to put up points.

Don’t get me wrong he didn’t deserve the contract in my opinion. I would have let him walk. Just saying that his numbers don’t look bad, well not until the 2nd pick.
Dak is a QB that looks great when everything around him is perfect. When he’s in a situation where he has to elevate the players around him or he has to carry the team he fails. He’s not that dude, he’s just paid like he is.

You can’t win when the defense gives up TD in every drive in the first half.

Man it looks grim for the Jags.
Their team just isn't good the defense has offered no resistance to the Bills.
Trevor threw a bad int, way overthrowing his receiver and right to a Bills defender. He wasn't even pressured.
He was suppose to be a generational prospect, best since Luck when he was drafted.
His big extension probably hasn't even kicked in.
At this rate, Pederson will get canned. So maybe they can get a QB whisperer.
But just watched Burrow throw a duck on 3rd and goal. Oof, could be another guy who balled out on his rookie contract, got a big bag and now is a liability.

Practicing this week and not going to wear the guardian cap.
I can’t be the only one that is at the point where I’m going to be bringing the entire time he’s on the field. Just feel like it’s just a matter of time before it happens again.

Maybe he's a Detroit Tigers fan and that's why he doesn't want to wear a Guardian cap.

He scored horrific on the Wonderlic, surely it cannot get any worse?
Jokes aside, I fear for his wellbeing. It's going to happen again, partly because he does not know how to slide. Someone in his close circle needs to host an intervention. This ain't spraining an ankle, breaking a leg or even tearing an ACL. Once that thing inside your skull is gone, it's gone for good. There's no coming back from it. Players would rather be stupid, than look stupid. Insane.

Re: TUA GETS PAID!
He probably feels some obligation to the coaches, owners and other players.
Otherwise his family would be urging him to retire or at least you would think so.
Though I thought I heard that his father was one of those fathers who cracked the whip to get his sons to become top prospects and pros.
