I still can't comprehend them giving up a 4th for Mingo when you consider the WR market. I mean Pickens went for a 3rd. Wild stuff.

He saw how impressive McCarthy has looked and realized his dream of signing with the Vikings has officially closed!

JJ McCarthy will be the best QB from the 2024 class, and I know that's a hot take right now lol

Why would Pittsburgh want this loser at this point in his career?

Re: 2025 NFL Off-Season
Rodgers is washed. I would've kept Russ over him at this point. Plus, Russ & DK have great chemistry together.
That franchise needs a fresh start. When a coach has been at one place for a long time, making a change is not the worst idea. Tomlin would qualify.

Re: 2025 NFL Off-Season
The Steelers figured how can they get a QB with similar stats in 2024 as Patrick Mahomes and signed Rodgers.
Let's see if it works out for them.

3897 yards, 63% comp, 28 TD, 11 Int
3928 yards, 67.5% comp, 26 TD, 11 Int
Who is goated and who is washed?

Re: 2025 NFL Off-Season
The last two full seasons that Rodgers has played (2022 & 2024) he's been a below average starter.
In 2022, his QBR was 26th best (41.3). Last season, he finished 25th (48.0). Just barely edging out guys like Daniel Jones & Anthony Richardson.
It's been 3 full years since he's put together a good season by his standards. He's also 41. It was pretty evident this past season that he didn't have much juice.

I like it for the Steelers. Either it works or it will be a disaster. I think the latter is much more likely but at least it's better than certain other teams that give big contracts to QBs who are proven liabilities in the playoffs. On the flip side, both P. Manning and Brady got carried to SBs by great teams while they were old and declining.

Are we talking about Carson Wentz?

Darnold's deal is very team friendly. It's basically a 1 year guarantee with team options. If he's terrible, he won't be around for long.
A 41 year old Rodgers with his entourage is not a preferable option.
Fwiw the Steelers wanted to sign Darnold. But he chose Seattle instead.

There are already rumblings about benching him, it didn't take long

During an interview with Seattle Sports 710-AM, Macdonald was asked whether anything other than an injury between now and the start of the season could lead the Seahawks to go with another quarterback.
The question came a day after Darnold delivered an up-and-down performance in the Seahawks' fourth day of OTAs, the first of which that was open to reporters. Darnold's lowlights while leading the No. 1 offense included two interceptions in a span of three plays during a 7-on-7 period in the red zone, as well as several plays that fizzled with the quarterback holding onto the ball.
If Seattle is very lucky this turns into another Matt Flynn situation.

Baker is underrated, I thought Burrow would be higher. Seattle paid 100m to improve from 31st to 24th

Matt flynn??
Sports media ask the dumbest questions. So he had one bad practice? Yeah, let's bench him lol.
Even if Darnold plays bad, then they should get a decent pick out of it.

I was thinking more about Dak Prescott.
I'm aware the Seahawks can move onto the next bridge QB smoothly.
