Full meltdown mode for Minnesota. Team won 14 games last season and now they’re stuck with a patsy out there. Must be absolutely infuriating

Vikings have never been able to draft a high caliber QB outside of Tarkenton and about a 4 year stretch for Culpepper. Add on top it was Kwesi drafting. And I’m at the point where if you gave Kwesi all 32 picks in the 1st round. He would draft 32 busts

Kirko might be available.

It’s far too early. Peyton manning looked awful early also.

My biggest issue is he can’t throw from the pocket. He’s great on the run but he’s very uncomfortable in a clean pocket

The thing with Peyton though, he had bloodline. 3.5 year starter at Tennessee (had to share those snaps with good old Todd Helton). Finished in top 10 of Heisman voting his last 3 years (2nd his senior year). And he was 6’5 with a big arm (arm started to go away with all the back and neck injuries). If there was a QB to be patient with, it was Peyton.

JJ was a hand off merchant in college. Never had a season where he even threw 3k yards. Is small, long delivery, average at best arm strength.

I would be much more willing to stick it out for a few years and ride with the inaccurate throws if he had some untapped potential.

But I’ve seen this QB before, it’s the same type of QB Minny always takes. Small QB with below average to average physical traits. Watched this with Ponder, watched it with Checkdown Teddy.

As a Vikings fan, it’s just engrained into me that they will never be able to draft a QB. My patience for QBs falls even quicker when we’re dealing with the below average to average physical trait QBs.

Bring back Kirk. Bring back Diggs, call up Cook and bring in Zimmer. Let’s have a good old fashion reunion.

In all seriousness though, i now 100% believe the rumors it was KOC that was the pushing to bring in Rodgers. This just doesn’t look anything like a KOC offense at the moment.

McDaniels is currently -200 for next coach fired.

Miami is playing Buffalo TNF (in Buffalo)

Their next game is the following Monday night at home against the Jets.

The Buffalo game is going to be a bloodbath of epic proportions. Even at those odds I think it's a solid bet.

I demand all football fans unite and start a rebellion. It is high time we came together and ask for every Chiefs game to be kicked to the 1PM kick off slots. There is just no point putting these guys on national television every week because they are just so freaking boring. I am in physical disarray watching these guys try to put together drives, clogging their way to what at max is 21 points in a game.

It’s only his second start.

Would you rather that the Vikings paid Darnold? They better take advantage of the kid being on a rookie contract.

I thought they said he showed pretty good measurables in the combine and private workouts. He was rising in that draft class.

Based on how Darnold played for them last season, while winning 14 games. They likely would've preferred to keep him.

Honestly, I think he would've stayed in Minnesota had they offered him a similar deal to what he got from Seattle. Also keep in mind that the contract he got from Seattle is basically just a 1 year guarantee. The team can move on rather easily if things go south.

So, if you give Darnold a deal that doesn't involve a ton of guarantees beyond the first year, then it would've been totally justifiable to keep him around.
