"Two-time Pro Bowl linebacker Takeo Spikes visited the Lions this week, a Lions official confirmed to the Free Press. Spikes is a free agent after he was released by the Philadelphia Eagles in March. The Lions could use another linebacker. The Lions lost Boss Bailey and Teddy Lehman this off-season. They drafted rookie Jordon Dizon in the second round to join Paris Lenon and Ernie Sims. Other linebackers on the roster include: Tyrone Pruitt, Alex Lewis, Anthony Cannon, Gilbert Gardner, Alfred Fincher, Caleb Campbell and Buster Davis."

Re: Takeo Spikes visited the Lions
He was in Allen Park once again today (Monday), presumably to get a more in-depth medical inspection. I've heard from a reliable source that if he checks out medically the Lions will sign him. Spikes rightfully believes he can start in DET.
