Report: Kurt Warner is the guy

ESPN - Kurt Warner is expected to be named the Cardinals' starting quarterback, a team source said Sunday.

Matt Leinart's poor performance Saturday night against the Oakland Raiders probably sealed the decision.

Wow. NFL coaches are not babying their million dollar investments any more. Just take a look at Alex Smith and Matt Leinart.

Leinart already has enough money to pay off those alimony checks even if he's out of the league in a couple of years.

Great move by the Cards, Kurt Warner is much better. The Cards will win their division.

I dont know if you are being sarcastic or for real.
Warner is a vet who has experience, but I dont see why they dont just give Leinart back his starting job. It wasnt his fault he was hurt last season and they invested alot of money on him to be just a backup. There is now way the Cards win the division. It is the Seahawks division to lose.

I'm wondering if this really has to do with Leinart's play, or if its due to the Cards' vets not being 100% behind Matt.

I think the best thing for Matt Leinart would be a change of scenery. It is probably what he needs and I think if he got the chance to go to a different team maybe it would motivate him to perform better. Kurt Warner does put up nice stats but I really dont know if he gives them the best chance to win. We shall see.

i'm not sure how they expect leinart to ever develop if they keep going to warner.

they need to give leinart a year where he knows he's the starter, no questions asked. let him progress and worry about winning ball games, not worry about his starting job.

if it doesn't work out, draft someone. but give the guy a fair chance.

Always knew Leinart was going to suck ass in the NFL. If you can't do good with Boldin and Fitzgerald, you are terrible.
