Re: Cincinnati parts ways with Rudi Johnson
oh well^^, Jabbar has proved to be more than adequate in the 3rd receiver role.
hopefully the Lynch cut was only a temporary thing, we'll see though. O'neal shouold add some good depth, surprising to see O'bryant go after being a starting corner all preseason.

The Lions are close to signing him.

Why do the Lions need him? They have 2 runningbacks in Tatum Bell and Kevin Smith. I dont think they are trying to win now cause they will most likely finish 3rd in the divsion behind the Vikings and Packers.
Please come to Houston Rudi.

Detroit Free Press - The Lions could be close to a deal with free agent running back Rudi Johnson after he met with the team on Sunday afternoon, according to Detroit Free Press.

Kevin Jones is a Bear.
They have Tatum Bell and Marcus Thomas at HB. Tatum had something like 20 carries last year (he blamed Martz) and Thomas is a rookie.
I fully expect Rudi to return to his old form. Maybe not the 1400 yard back but certainly he'll hit the century mark.

I meant Kevin Smith. Thanks for correcting me.

That situation behind the scenes is called "The Brown family is cheap and will not stand for internal criticism".
Rudi might not get claimed because of his salary but he will be on a roster soon thereafter.
They also cut Willie Anderson, which surprises me even more than Rudi. I already knew Rudi wasn't going to be a Bengal this year, but cutting Willie surprises me. That locker room has to be in absolute shambles right now. They're going to be lucky to win 4 games.

The Brown family should sell the Bengals to someone who cares, but that'll never happen. Hopefully Bengals fans leave this team en masse.

You're right it is Kevin Smith. Who is Marcus Thomas? Haha. And why did I write his name down? Is he or was he Lion at one point?

Bugs me from a Kevin Smith fantasy perspective, especially if Rudi ends up finding the field in goal line situations.
