Luckily enough, I boarded a train midway through the 4th when Atlanta led the Bears 19-10. Finding out via smartphone that they blew a lead with less than 20 seconds to go was a bit less excruciating than if I had actually watched them come back only to give it up.
A few impressions:
-Kyle Orton has made a believer out of me. He's not an All-Pro, but he's looked above-average or good in all but one game this year. I don't think anyone was expecting that.
-I'm still not ready to anoint Forte as the next great Bears RB, but he had a real nice second half on Sunday. I do wonder how good he could be behind a better line.
-Devin Hester is close to becoming a week-to-week threat at WR, which I never would have envisioned.
-Bears' play-calling was questionable, as it always is.
-Being 3-3 sort of sucks, but having your 3 losses come by a combined 8 points against good teams is a nice way to make yourself feel better about your team as a fan.
-Bears shut down Michael Turner and let a rookie QB have his way with them. Something insanely backwards about that.
-Matt Ryan is the class of this draft.
-The NFC is completely up for grabs this year. I think the Giants are the only team without some kind of serious letdown this season.
