I dont get why people think TE's arent valuable..you have to block like a T and run routes and catch like a WR.

I mean this guy guards guards in the NBA so you know he has the speed..
Now his burst might not be as great...
but can you imagine any one cb that could hand his body?!?!I mean he has at least 8 inchs and superior jump to all cb's..
if you dont double him...it wouldnt be fair (that is ofcourse as he has any ounce of skills)...

The OLB i think about...but his height is to much and therefore wouldnt have the leverage needed on run support..but imagine the athleticism in pass rush?!?!would any tackle ever seen anything like it..?!?!

Now safety would be a good position if he had the intelligence...him playing center field would be a sight to watch..

In Lebron's case, the thing I'd be worried about is his height. With his superior size/speed combo, DBs will probably go after his knees to bring him down. That's where his height becomes a disadvantage.

and playing as a TE wouldnt matter with LB's trying to cut block?!?!atleast with DB's he should be able to jump over them..

The same applies for him at TE (being tall). I think people probably like him at TE because it makes him an even more of a match-up problem than at WR (providing he learns to block of course). But as I said, with someone as tall and as strong as him, you wonder how his knees will hold up. Of course, given his talent, it would not surprise me if the NFL makes a rule change to alleviate too much contact and protect player's knee (with Lebron in mind).

I don't think he has the toughness to handle the hits Safeties put on WR's. I also highly doubt that he could stop a rushing Aaron Kampman or Mario Williams. He would be too tall. He's just too tall to play tight end. The low man wins in Football. People would get under his pads and push them up into his neck and he'd be done. Maybe as an exclusive pass catching redzone tight end he could be but I don't see him as much else.

I think it's unfair to say he does not have the toughness for the hits in football because we there is no proof...

yes he could have been great playing football. its actually scary to think about cause not many people understand it.

James is an athlete through and through no one can compete with him at the moment in any sport of that much i am certain. In saying all that i still believe that he is better off playing basketball. He will e doing that for a long time to come.

We should be glad to witness such an athlete in our lifetime. People like James come from time to time.

If we are still around in 50 years or so and the Sports world is as big as it is at present time then James will be remembered and most likely compared to the athletes of that era.
