The colossal new Dallas Cowboys Stadium is living proof that everything is bigger in Texas. The menu in the luxury suites proves that things there are more expensive too.
Those enjoying a Cowboys game from a luxury suite at the new stadium will have to shell out $90 for pizza and $66 for a 12-pack of domestic beer, reports Steven Sipple of the Lincoln Journal World. Ninety bucks for pizza? That's almost as much of a rip-off as Roy Williams.
It costs $800,000 per year to lease one of those luxury suites, a hefty sum that doesn't include game tickets. On the bright side, the stadium's official Web site says that "having your company's name on a suite makes an important statement about your success" and can help make an impression on clients. (Namely that they're paying you way too much money.)
As for the $90 pizza, that's the cost for a plain pizza. No word on how much each topping costs but, suffice it to say, if you're a fan of pepperoni you may want to consider refinancing your mortgage before you head down to watch the Cowboys. Link

The pizza is absurd, but $5.50 a beer at a sporting event in TO is as unheard of in the other direction.

Re: The new Dallas Cowboys Stadium Menu
Haha at the price of Pizza...that's ridiculous.
The beer ends up being $5.50 per bottle, which is pretty much the same if you bought 12 beers at a bar. And I bet all the regular people in the stands are paying $9 for a beer that is only a few ounces bigger than the bottle, so I guess they are actually getting a steal on the beer. Should come in handy to save up money for a pizza.

Re: The new Dallas Cowboys Stadium Menu
the dallas morning news blog is saying that's false, says it's 60 bucks for a 20 inch pizza. still not that great a deal but i bet if you get pizza on the concourse it'd be like 7 or 8 bucks for a pan pizza. and it's the same price as last year
ive only been to texas stadium a hanful of times (more often then not for high school football rather then cowboys) i just hope there nachos are the same. expensive as hell but love the cheese

Re: The new Dallas Cowboys Stadium Menu
My last paying trip to a pro sporting event, a Cavs-Bulls game in Chicago.
$88 ticket, sat two rows from the floor directly behind the basket at the Bulls' bench end.
Nachos $6
40 oz. Pepsi $5.50
Box of nasty, stale, overbuttered popcorn $5
Two hots dogs and a 20 oz. beer, $12
I reckon I could do all that at home for myself for under $5 and wouldn't haev had to deal with idiot Bulls fans all around me trying to pick fights because I was wearing an Ilgauskas jersey.
Pro sporting events are freakishly expensive and the concessions are no exception. that pizza seems absurd though

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

^I hate eating at sporting events, not so much because of the prices as much as the inconvenience at times. I'd rather go to a game focused on the game, maybe get a coke/icee/something along those lines (don't drink
) and then after the game is over head somewhere and grab a burger and fries.

Flash knows what's up, you eat either before or after. I'll get maybe a drink at the game, but never eat anything there.
Football might be different though, I've never been to foxboro, but heard the food inside the stadium is really good.

I'm so focused on the game that I wear an adult size diaper not only at the stadium, but also at my house. Food is for before the game and after the game once I clean up.
