Biggest Surprises of the Season so far!

Post#1 » by jumanok » Mon Oct 12, 2009 7:08 pm

Bengals and Ravens come to mind, but what about Tennesse at 0-5? What do they do now?

why are people surprised at the bengals? i couldve told you that when they drafted rey maualuga they were headed for big things this year! the giants have focused more on steve smith being their key go to guy on offense, no surprise. reggie will lead the saints to bigger and better heights this year, provided the quarterback doesnt screw them up in the playoffs. and be patient with the texans, cushing will lead them to big things at the end of the year.

Reggie Bush isnt taking the Saints anywhere. The Broncos and Titans have been the biggest suprises of the year for sure.

My non-suprise of the year:

Jamarcus Russel being terrible.

Some suprises to me:
- Bengals 4-1 and Denver 5-0.
- How bad Dallas is (although this isn't too much of a surprise).
- Brett Favre playing as well as he is.
- Cedric Benson leading the league in rushing
- Titans starting off 0-5

Josh McDaniels and the Denver Broncos starting 5-0.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

bengals-thought they would be better maybe finish 8-8
broncos- nobody expected them to go 5-0
titans-total collapse

suprise to me
the colts-they lost dungy and i thought that would be huge. however i have learned to never ever ever doubt peyton manning and his greatness. truly one of the greats to ever play the game.

disappointment
homer pick-my steelers. we should be 5-0. this isnt the steelers that i am use to seeing. troy will be back soon but now aaron smith is likley out for the season.

Agree 100% there. Everybody was calling for McDaniels head in Denver before the season started. How could he trade Jay Cutler? Blah blah blah. Well now McDaniels has Denver looking like a force to be reckoned with and he's got some nice draft picks coming his way as well.

Broncos 5-0
Titans 0-5

Those are to me are the biggest surprise. Titans basically brought back everyone from last seasons with the exception of Albert. They are very talented, noway should they be 0-5. As for Denver, did anyone really think they would be 5-0? After everything that happen during training camp and pre season, i thought McDaniels would be gone by now.

Smith leads the NFL in receptions (37) and receiving yards (481), ahead of, among others, Dallas Clark, Hines Ward, Reggie Wayne and Randy Moss.
